The Rise and Fall of a Snowman
We have talked about building a snowman all Winter long.
As Spring approaches, we decided we better get out and get one built.
The snow was not really "snowman-snow", but we managed to get a little one made.

Party preparations

I decorated this present for my friend's birthday.

I won a prize for getting the second closest tail on the donkey.
Another Chinese New Year celebration
A group of families from this area who have adopted children from China
celebrates CNY every year at a local Chinese restaurant.
This year there was a "Kung Fu" demonstration.
Here are a few pictures from the party.

Opening my "red envelope".
I got money, a little car and some duplos.

I like my presents!

I thought I was not cooperating for this picture,
but Mama decided it was a nice way to show off the back of my outfit.

I ALMOST got out of this picture!!
The "lion head" for the lion dance didn't make it to the party,
so we tried to do a lion dance without it.
(Basically the kids parade around the restaurant in their Chinese outfits.)
I was the leader!
Group picture time!

This is only part of the group. I was happy to be "front and center".

A beautiful night sky!
(An astronomical image of a nebula??)

Fireworks! With the flash reflecting the snowflakes.
Makes for a pretty cool picture!
Happy year of the Rabbit!
