Fall Fun

Fall is here and it's time for field trips and fun.
We went with our home school group to a
nearby farm where they had animals, hay rides,
pumpkins, a corn maze and a bouncy tarp.

I certainly do like corn mazes.
I could have spent the whole day in there!
This bouncy tarp was so much fun.
I really felt like I could fly!!

Our friends, Ken & Betty, stopped by to play
on their way back to Iowa from Philadelphia.
It is always fun when we see them.

Elizabeth and I (and our moms, of course)
went to a pumpkin farm and bought a couple
of little pumpkins and gourds.

 For Fire Prevention Week
the firemen brought the big fire trucks to the library.
They gave us all hats and let us get in the fire trucks!
Maybe I'll be a fireman some day.

Dad & I roasted hot dogs at the harvest party.

 I fought the chair...
and the chair won!

 Never fear!  I'm just fine.

Before we got to dig into the haystack
looking for candy,
we thanked God for His provision and for His love.

Then it was time to DIG IN!

Woo-hoo!  What fun!

Check out all the candy I found in the hay!

Adoption update:

They say the third time is a charm... and that's how many times it took to get the correct spelling of our names on our Provisional Approval form for the visas.  It was frustrating, but we THINK that everything is correct and in the correct places.

Right now we are waiting for our "Article 5", which we should get in about 10 days.
Then.... 2 - 4 weeks to wait for Travel approval.
Then... 2 - 4 weeks 'til we travel!!!
It's getting closer!

We got an update on Jennai.  Here is one of the pictures we got of her.

We are still looking for creative ways to earn money for our trip and for the orphanage "donations".  Let us know if you have any good ideas.

Keep praying for us as we continue on this journey.
We are looking forward to what God has in store for our family.
