Ok, let's continue.
When we got home from Florida I got to open my Christmas presents.
I think my very favorite one this year was...
Yep, you guessed it! TAPE!!
12 rolls of tape!
Oh, the projects I can make with this!! WooHoo!
The Winter continued to be a mild one
but I was able to build a few more snowpeople
from the snow on the deck.
Aren't they cute?
Playing with friends is always so much fun!
The middle of January took us back to Iowa.
Gramma was diagnosed with cancer and so Mama and I
went to see her and help out however we could.
TAPE, scissors, glue sticks, stickers, and a big pack of paper
kept me busy for the 2 weeks that Gramma was in the hospital.
I made a lot of projects and tried to keep Grampa entertained.
One day, Mama and I went to the Children's museum that is near the hospital.
They had a little hospital section, so I donned the white coat and
started my practice.
(If I haven't told you, when I grow up, I want to be a doctor...
and while I'm studying to be a doctor I'm going to drive
a taxi-van. Then when I retire, I'm going to be an
elevator operator.)
Looks like that leg might need a shot.
Don't worry, it won't hurt a bit.
(Don't you love how they always tell you that?)
Hey, which one is really me??
After surgery, recovery and her first chemo treatment,
we took Gramma home. She was so happy to be home
and teach me how to throw paper airplanes!
Gramma also let me use her reading glasses.
Ooooh, I am SOOO silly!
We stayed with Gramma and Grampa for another week.
By then, Grampa was getting used to the new routine
and doing such a great job of taking care of Gramma.
I was missing Daddy a lot, so we headed home.
One of the things we did in Preschool in February
was go on a field trip to the local grocery store.
I wasn't too excited to go, at first, because I always have to
go to the grocery store with Mama.
But, we got to go into the BIG coolers and freezers
and see the huge stacks of groceries in the back.
We also got to decorate our own cookies!
And, for snack they gave us pizza while one of the cooks
did a magic show for us. THAT was fun!
More snow, but this wouldn't stick together enough to build a snowman.
At least, not a standing up snowman.
So, Frosty just had to take a nap!
My snowmen that day didn't stay around too long.
You've heard of "pin the tail on the donkey", right?
Well, I drew Mickey Mouse and put an "X" on his ear.
Then you had to cover your eyes and put the ear in the right place.
Next field trip... to the pizza store.
They showed us how to make pizza, then gave us a blog of dough,
put on some sauce, then gave us free reign on the cheese and pepperoni!
I sure do like pepperoni!
They baked our pizzas,
put them in boxes,
and let us take them home.
But first, we got to taste them.
Yep, it was sure tasty!
I saved some for Mama and Daddy to try some.

I went bowling for the first time!
Who knew they had these cool ramps to help you.
I used the ramp and the bumper lanes, but I also got a score of 79! Not bad for my first time.
Shortly before Easter I went to the chocolate store with
Elizabeth and our moms.
This place smells like chocolate!
All the animals behind us are carved out of chocolate.
Yum! But they didn't let us nibble on those! Boo!
I decorated Mama's birthday cake...
...and, yep, the frosting is really yummy!
We loaded up the car and took Mama's birthday cake with us
to Gramma and Grampa's house. We wanted to go see them for
Easter and check up on Gramma to see how she was doing.
I convinced Grampa that we needed to go fishing.
It was toooooooo windy and we didn't catch anything at the pier.
We DID get Gramma to come with us, though, and get some fresh air.
She is doing really well and enjoyed getting out.
She and I went for a walk together.
I'm so glad we could do that.
WOW, would you look at the tower of bottles?!
Crazy, Just crazy!
See Gramma's pink bangs?
That's actually a little bit of Dylan's hair.
He grew his hair and then as a fund raiser for cancer research
he dyed it pink and then had his head shaved.
He saved a few of his locks for Gramma.
I love my cousin!

Gramma was happy to have so many of my aunts, uncles and cousins
visit at Easter-time.
But, too soon, everyone had to go back to their own homes.
On our way home, we stopped to see the beautiful tulips
in Pella, Iowa.
Gramma and Grampa were on their way to Iowa City so we rode with them for part of the trip.
"Hey, Lady, let go of me!"

The blue shows up the best! Oh, what fun!

Some of my friends came over to help celebrate my birthday.
I am so blessed to have so many good friends.
I got a fishing pole from Gramma and Grampa
so I was out practicing my casting skills.
And LOOK!...
I caught a FISH!
Well, I need to go to bed now, but I'll give you a little hint about what I have to tell you.
Hmmmm.... Do you ever wonder about things?
They tell me that great tings come in small packages.
They say that sometimes you have to wait for those little tings.
Do you ever wonder if I'll ever share my blog with someone else?
For a loooooooong time, I've been asking Mama and Daddy
about my brother or sister.
They always tell me to talk to Jesus about that.
So, I've been talking to HIM about that matter.
